Ever wondered how many leasehold homes there are in England?


Recently published research by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), revealed that there are an estimated 4 million leasehold dwellings in the private sector in England. Of these, 2.3 million dwellings (57%) were in the owner-occupied sector and 1.7 million (43%) were privately owned and let in the private rented sector. These experimental statistics provide an estimate of the number of leasehold dwellings in England.
